Rossmoor Bar Meet
October 25th, 2025 - Great Fun Fall Event!
Thirty-eight participants braved the threat of rain and were rewarded with a perfect day for orienteering. Overcast skies and mild temperatures made for ideal conditions. A big thank-you to our volunteers:
• Nik – designed & set the courses and managed finishes. • Jonas – our small-SUV gear Tetris master, for hauling all the supplies. • Paul – handled permitting and event registration. • Dan & Danny – jumped in wherever needed to keep things running smoothly.
We were happy to see both familiar faces and newcomers, with participants traveling from as close as a mile away to as far away as San Francisco and Chico. Several youth teams also joined in, keeping their chaperones on course! Participation was well balanced across all courses, except for White, which had just one group—congrats to Allison and Johnny on their first course and the win on White!
Course Highlights: • Red: Rex cleared the course in 1:37:15. • Green: Close competition, with Frank Wangberg taking the top spot in 1:43:35 • Orange: Bill Walter led the way with a 1:29:55 • Brown: Jonas led with a 54:36 finish. • Yellow: Mike Ryan and family blazed through in 42:45.
For those who recorded their runs on Livelox, maps and courses are being uploaded by Kris and Nik. The QR code on your map links to the event—if you’ve already recycled your map, contact us for the link. If there are any errors with the names, I apologize. If I messed up any names or you feel there is an error with results, please let me know so we can correct.
